The Academy's building was
carefully designed and created by the owners and director. The
building houses ten classrooms each equipped with a computer,
various learning centers, and developmentally appropriate
surroundings. Each classroom has an exterior door to which the
children can access an outdoor play area that is age-specific.
The Academy also offers a cafeteria. The cafeteria is not only
used to feed the children during lunchtime but can be used for an
indoor play area on days with inclement weather or can be used as a
large activity room for special learning.
With
the director's background in education, your
child's learning experience at The Academy is top priority. In
the daily routine there is a balance between outdoor vigorous play
and indoor quiet play, between teacher-initiated and child-initiated
activities, between state-approved curriculum and enrichment
activities. The teacher-to-child ratios will be lower than
state requirements at The Academy. Included in your child's
tuition will be special programs that include art, music, second
language, sign language and creative movement.
The Academy serves children from infants to Pre-K and offers an
after-school program for school-age children. We have a bus that will transport children to and from the local elementary
schools. During school holidays and summer
months, we offer a full-day program for the students in elementary
school. Please contact us for information on tuition.
